Surrey Police is keen to speak to any witnesses, particularly drivers travelling into Surrey from the Kent direction on Tuesday morning (June 6)
A driver in his 60s has died following a collision between his car and a Royal Mail van at the M25/A3 roundabout.
Emergency services were called out to the roundabout at junction 10 of the M25 at around 5.30am on Tuesday morning (June 6).
Surrey Police said the collision involved a black Jaguar XJL, entering the roundabout from the clockwise section, and a van.
The driver of the Jaguar, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said
The Royal Mail van was knocked onto its side due to the force of the collision.
A spokesman for Royal Mail said: "Although shaken, our driver was not injured. We are investigating this incident.”
The slip road and two lanes of the M25 were closed following the collision.
Police confirmed at around 3pm on Tuesday that all roads have been fully opened.
A spokesman said: "Motorists are thanked for their patience while all slip roads on to the roundabout at the location were closed while emergency services were in attendance.
"Delays are still likely around the area and on alternative routes."
Surrey Police is asking any witnesses to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922.
"Officers are particularly keen to speak to any drivers travelling into Surrey from the Kent direction early this morning," the spokesman added.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance service said it attended the collision.
He added: "I can confirm that sadly despite the best efforts of all those at the incident a man died at the scene."
