Mail snatched from postie by muscular man who sped off in Audi

Post has been stolen from a postman while he was trying to deliver parcels in Lincolnshire.

A muscular man took items from the Royal Mail worker and then sped off in a silver Audi.

The incident happened at Malton Road, North Hykeham, on May 12 between 9.20am and 10.20am.

The person who stole the parcels has been described as black, around 26-years-old, muscular and around 5ft 10in.

He was wearing black jogging trousers, a black T-shirt and he was clean-shaven with tattoos.

He was driving a silver Audi.

Police are now urging people with any information or CCTV of the incident to come forward and to also be vigilant for any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information about the incident should call 101 and quote incident number 119 of May 5.

A Royal Mail spokesman said: "Royal Mail can confirm that a small number of items of mail were stolen from the postman whilst he was on delivery in the Malton Road area of North Hykeham on Friday, 12 May.

"We would urge anyone with information to contact the police."
