The National Minimum Wage us due to rise on 01-Apr from £7.20 to £7.50/hour.

AWR mirrors Royal Mail staff so there is no increase agreed for this year at the moment. Once you've got your 12 weeks your hourly rate could be anywhere between £10.50 and £14 per hour depending on the rates at your mail centre and what shift you work. The simplest way to find out is to ask somebody who is AWR qualified that you work with.

AWB Rate of Pay 01-Apr-2017?

Hi

I work at Gatwick MC and my pay rate for my 13th week has soared by 56% from £7.50 to £11.77.

Pity I'm only being called in for one shift of, effectively, 3.50 hours per week.

Mustn't grumble.

That's the way it is...some things will never change! (Bruce Hornsby and the Range). Unless you are one of the "favourites" who keeps getting called in. Many mail centres have their favourites! Dreadfully unfair.

How can you think that way. Thats just the Waaaaaaay it is.
If you bring in cakes and biscuits for the manager you'll get all the shifts you want plus extra T-breaks !!!
Really the favouritism at MCs and RDCs has gotten to ridiculous levels. :thumbup
