Still no contract start on monday...

Post by Decpassat06 »

Hi everyone,
My induction day is this Monday the 31st of October, my last email from RM said i would receive my contract in the post around a week before my induction day, I still have not received this yet, what should I do? still attend the induction day or not? it also wanted me to sign and return some documents, uniform order form, HMRC new starter, working over 42 hours?? they said I should sign these and return them with the signed contract which I was planning on doing, because the contract has not arrived so none of the above has been done..... what should I do and will this delay my start date? thanks

The contract has a habit of turning up late, but its not a big problem, even without signing the contract you have an agreement of employment so turn up on the day it won't be a problem.

All the other stuff if its ready to go, take photocopies if possible, and send them off as requested.

I'm the same, although my induction is on Tuesday 1st November. I sent my form about tax in hoping that they would match it up with my name and start date. I've photocopied that form. Still no contract yet. I start from job properly on Wednesday. Looking forward to starting now :)

Thanks for your reply, I need to print them off and fill them in, if I do this could I take them with me to my induction day and will someone there deal with them? Maybe scan them to the correct place as I don't have a photocopier/scanner ?

You could do. I'm thinking that may be the manager on the first day of work might deal with them. Ive not signed the extra hours form yet as unsure what to do. Fingers crossed our contracts turn up soon :)

Also in the same situation have my induction day on Wednesday 2nd November and no contract as yet, plus majority of the forms require pay roll number which is on the contract so catch 22 at the moment.

I've sent my tax form in without the payroll number. Before I sent it I photocopied it. I've not sent in the other forms though. Hoping we will all get paid at the end of next week :)

Just phoned my DO and someone there managed to track down my payroll number so can at least send all forms back without waiting for contract.
