"The major problem with trade unions nowadays is the leadership. Many union bosses have become part of the Establishment and the unions are like corporations, always looking for takeover targets or mergers. The leadership act more like CEOs than shop stewards. They build fancy offices, have chauffer-driven cars and forget about the rank and file who finance these lifestyles"

I've read it. It's very good. He says when Thatcher dies, there will be thousands of scousers ready to dance on her grave. I expect there will be no shortage of Mancs, Tykes, Jocks, Taffs, cockneys, Geordies, Mackums, Brummies and goodness knows who else will be joining in. That programme he made about the mining industry was also superb.stephen500 wrote:"The major problem with trade unions nowadays is the leadership.
