put on waiting list but my status says unsuccessful

unfortunately I received an email saying other candidates scored higher and am on a 3 month waiting list ,but my status says unsuccessful..is this normal have emailed the address given on the email but had no reply yet.. id expect the status to say waiting list does anyone know?

No mines said the same for the initial interview I had. Was put on list too so I emailed them when I saw another job I was interested in.... start on Monday ☺

Yours never changed then ? Did you apply for another post by email or was you called and offered the job you were interviewed for ?if so how long was this after you were.put on the waiting list ?

It didnt change from unsuccessful for the 1st job I applied for. I saw another job I was interested in about a month after I was on the list and emailed to say I was interested in the post, you only have 3 months to do this. You need to be patient as they take forever to get back to you but eventually do.

Hi all!

I'm in the same situation, interview went well but had the email saying I met the criteria but there were other stronger candidates, and I'm on the 3 month waiting list.

I've emailed straight away registering interest in other positions (4 in total) but nearly 3 weeks on now and I've not heard a thing!

Should I have received any form of confirmation that my application for the other posts has been received?

Its disgusting we are left in limbo I've emailed too and had no reply ! I was gutted.i never got the job but had hope being.on a waiting list along with instructions to email if I see.another post..i expected an instant reply to be honest I cant find any.contact details for any hr nothing to ring !!
