To start wear comfy shoes, trust me even my comfiest still makes my feet ache.. You can see online the safety shoes and I've been told they are horrendous, I'm still in my own trainers (running Nike pair)and I've yet to see any worker at my DO with the safety shoes or boots. I've even tried putting insoles in and they still ache although I think it's help the way I walk....This is prob what you will see, don't say anything let your office say when...my manager said yds is the best but I never got that option.

It's a hit and miss with bags, some colleagues make route as easy as possible so I don't have to carry loads but for instance today there were loads of parcels, heavy too so I used a trolley.... Save my back and will use again if it means I don't continue having back ache.

Just go to your office and ask... I was told not to order yet and I'm at the end of week 3 however I spoke to someone today who started last week and he said he just phoned though and we be getting in few days....

When you get to order shoes from Royal Mail I would recommend the YDS trainer/walking type shoes. I find them light comfy and supportive, they were recommended to me by 90% of the posties I asked.
I was also told to have the bag straps short so the weight didn't effect my hips which had started to ache initially having long straps on the bag. This has worked for me.
