Conditional Offer

Post by 1975 »

Good evening all,

I have just received my conditional offer through via email, and have sent the requested information back, I'm just waiting on my security checks to come back now. I was just wondering how long it took for people to actually get started, obviously on the condition my security comes through?

Also any advice for a newbie would be most welcome, I must say I'm really excited and really looking forward to getting started, but also a bit apprehensive of the unknown.

Thanks :Very Happy

From conditional offer to actual start can vary, it was around 2-3 months for me...my formal offer came through pretty quickly though (7 days from start of security checks) but ive known that take a few weeks for others.

Only thing that springs to mind is uniform sizes are crap..the shirts run big and sure I read on here the polos run small..trousers are clown pants so might be worth asking for a couple of sizes when ordering.

I'm a size 10 and wear 10 shorts and small polo shirts, but it's at least 6 weeks till you can order them, you start with shoes and a hi viz. the trainers I've got on best with are the yds and I buy my normal size but they are a bit narrow so I don't lace the bottom 2 holes to allow my feet to swell.
The rounds I do vary from 6 miles up to 12, I was a marathon runner so used to distance but it took me about 6 weeks to get used to the work when I first started.
Ps I'm not a skinny size 10 so if you are tiny then size down.
