Union briefing today concerning ending defined benefit pension 2018 and replacing with money purchase. Also attendance monitoring technology with some exaggeration over using fingerprints to clock in and measuring how long spent in toilet. Something about bidding for annual leave ?? Getting work to delivery offices later at midday or even after and the risks to the current shift pattern. Campaign against new anti union laws. Managers doing opg work so no new savings of 5% will be allowed.

Very interesting.
There was a rumour going around the MC the other day Night Shifts going to Midt - 8 in the morning. Lates 4 till Midt. The Pension scheme is in the s...e apparently.
Nothing on the new I.D scanning badges as yet. But what I have heard it's not good.

There will be plenty more rumours until the cwu tell us upfront what is actually going on although dingo has discounted most of the rumours.

Also, remember that what Royal Mail say they want, and what they actually expect are entirely different.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
