12 hour days...
Was asked this morning if I fancied going to Glasgows main sorting office throughout Christmas period, not sure about it. Anyone on here ever done it? What are +/-? AND is the money any good?

MM mate.... I dont know wot they are offering you mate but GO.... Working in a MC is a piece of piss compared to a delivery at xmas... Just take ya ipod and dont run around like you do on a walk.... YOUR GET LINCHED....
It will be boring but it will be more dosh and i would of thought more bonus as well... Shame the DO's always get shafted but ive worked in DO and MC and DIST.. And if you get a good group of lads you can work it well.. But it all depends on if your work with casuals.... Thats a no no
Find out if and when your go and what your be doing???? Make sure you know your duty or if its just pressure and moved about all the time....

It will be cutting, tipping, facing and sorting. As Tommo says it's fairly boring, but you can listen to your ipod or walkman while sorting which helps, and if you get in with a decent group you can have a chat and a laugh which helps to make the time pass. The money will be better if you put in the hours, and you're inside and warm and dry.
