How long does it take?

Post by ChoZanWan »

Hi guys! After a bit of help. I've read a few threads on this site and just wondered if my concerns can be answered?

I applied for a Delivery post on the 29/12/15, had the interview on the 14/1/16 and received an email on the 21/1/16 saying that I'd passed the assessment and would now need to undergo document checks.

The website still says Interview/Assessment.

After reading the timescale thread elsewhere, I'm just worried about the time it's taking. Is this normal, should I just be patient? :cuppa

Thanks!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks for your reply!

Does passing the assessment actually mean I have a job? :confused

No- but you are nearly there. The checks have to go through and then they select the applicant deemed most suitable. If you are not the chosen one, but have passed everything else you go on to a waiting list.

Most people on the list eventually get an offer at some point.
