Peru strike
The strike called recently by the National Union of Postal Service Workers (SINATS) in Peru is continuing. All mail products including EMS, Parcel and Letter items are affected. We have temporarily suspended dispatches of mail to Lima. Any mail en-route to Peru is being held securely until the postal service has resumed.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Serpost workers of the national postal service have lifted the national strike after more than one month, reports El Comercio.
Workers from the Postal Services of Peru (Serpost, Spanish acronym), decided to lift the strike after meeting with representatives of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
Although an agreement has not yet been reached, the long meeting between the two parties came to the conclusion to lift the strike that began on Nov. 11.

Serpost workers began the strike last month denouncing problems in the institution’s operation and as well, mismanagement by the officials.
The post workers union also demanded that officials respect their raise and bonus approved by the Ministry of Economy and Fianance.
After two weeks of the strike, America Noticias informed that the central headquarters of Serpost located in Los Olivos was full of thousands of pieces of mail. As well, that the rate of sending and receiving of mail had reduced by 60% due to the strike, reports El Comercio.
