Gloucester Mail Centre

Post by zaphod »

As you may be aware, GMC is earmarked to close. As I understand it, this will have an effect on Bristol Mail Centre with reference to the numbers of EVR's and buy-downs offered, substantially reducing its availability.

At one time, those wishing to transfer to BMC were blocked, but I have been told that some will be coming down here. Hopefully they will have less seniority than I do! Why they would even want to come here is beyond me. So what is the current state of play up at Gloucester?

They've been saved, but seems at the expence of the Oxford and Reading ones by the looks of it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks for that, POSTMAN. Much appreciated. That really is news to us here at Bristol. I missed the thread on September 22, as I was thousands of miles away on leave.
