Re: First pay day?
I would expect it to be Oct 1st because you'll probably have to remind them to pay you for the induction day too separately, although that should have been in the previous week's paycheck. Funny how they often forget that!

Will there actually be a precious weeks pay check though? With me only being in the Friday of the first week(induction)

Re: First pay day?
I did my induction on a Tuesday, training day on the Thursday and I got paid on the Friday
. The induction trainer told me to book the induction day as overtime (i'm only on a 7.48 hour Saturday contract) but my manager had already booked this prior to me going in on for training on the Thursday

Re: First pay day?
This week is my first week:
- Monday - Induction (counts as 8-hours. Either paid as overtime or taken as part of your weekly contract hours depending upon local office)
- Tuesday - in DO
- Thursday - Received payslip. Not sure what all the codes are but certainly paid the 20 hours stated in my contract but will be working a LOT more that. Been told overtime will be paid next week.

Life is what you make it.......I make mine my own.

So when am I likely to be paid for the induction day, will it be the following Friday? With the induction falling on a Friday, the 25th....
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks.
it could be the following week, or if you start on the Saturday you may be paid on that day (unlikely though). We are paid on Fridays for that week (Mon - Saturday) - Overtime is usually a week in hand especially if processed or worked after Wednesday, sometimes Monday and Tuesdays can be paid the same week if your bookroom is fast.
I would suggest to all newbies that they keep a good record of their overtime and tick it off as paid, not only can it be confusing because of how and when they process it, but sometimes managers can be a little forgetful.
