Derbyshire road closed after RM lorry crashes into bridge

A ROAD in Derbyshire will have to be closed after a Royal Mail lorry hit a bridge in the town.

The crash happened at 7.25am and, according to Derbyshire police, the vehicle hit a lamp post and ended up with its front end wedged on the parapet of the bridge on Matlock Road, Belper. heading north out of the town close to the East Mill.

The police spokesman said: "Highways England staff have said the road will need to be closed for recovery and it is believed the road will be closed for about an hour.

"At the moment, Highways England staff are arranging the road closure and looking at where traffic can be diverted."

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
