first day...

Post by chillout1571 »

Hello :Very Happy Thought I would share my first day on the job.

It was good overall, I am exhausted though!Haha.

I basically got introduced to some of the staff, then put with my round for the next few weeks.
He just shadowed me all day, I did the round overall. He did the packages, then by the end I did them too.

I still feel I need lots of training, but overall looks like a good job.

My knees are killing me tonight. He said my round was around 9 miles. So quite a long one.

How was your first day? Similar?

Thanks,
Sarah

Glad you enjoyed it. I just shadowed someone else on my first day but was out on my own on day 5. It was daunting at first but I had the phone number of the chap I share a van with so could ring him up if I was unsure.

It gets easier and you pick up on things as you go along. Pda took me two days to get to grips with. I'm just finding learning the routes takes at least a couple of days, finding those hard to find/hidden houses. Today I had some flats where the trades button didn't work so had to take a bundle back.
Take a good joint supplement, I'm taking one and hoping my joints will thank me for it.

Things will fall into place if you stick with it.

However, I have my new job starting on Friday. So shall I offer to work Tuesday and say next Monday to cover the 20 hours?
Spooky coincidence that you would ask that question just the day before that post.
