Online tests

Hi,

I've applied for about 5 postman with driving positions and I've failed the tests on every application, with the exception of the one I went for that turns out to be too long a commute given the part time hours etc. Having withdrawn from that interview, I was holding out for another position to come up in my local area. One did, and I took the Qtest and working styles tests and lo and behold I've failed again it seems.

Wondering if anyone has advice on what they're looking for?

They email you saying 'we regret to inform you' but they don't specify which test was failed. I'm really confused as I feel the Qtests were fine and I don't normally have difficulty with stuff like that. The only thing I can think is that I'm giving different answers to the working styles questions each time and not coming up trumps.

When it asks 'do you prefer working on your own or in a team' and 'do you like your working day to be varied', I think on both of these I answered 3/5, namely that I'm indifferent. I'm trying to convey here that I don't have a preference and enjoy both possibilities in each case.

They also ask you a question such as 'is morality more important to you than purely commercial values'. It obviously is, but I don't know if I'm trying to second guess myself and giving some 'wrong' answers. Just frustrating that you can pass the exact same test one day and can't the next when realistically my personality is pretty fixed.

Any help would be appreciated.
