Singing Walsall postman hopes to deliver as he launches final bid for stardom
Singing postman Nathan Farrell has made it through to the finals of an international singing competition.
A SINGING postman from Walsall who has auditioned for multiple competitions is hoping that residents will get behind him in what will be his final quest for stardom.
Nathan Farrell has auditioned for the likes of The Voice, X Factor and Britain's Got Talent but has failed to make it through to the televised stages.
He is now hoping to deliver a first-class impression in the online Open Mic International Singing Competition 2015, where he has reached the grand final.
Nathan is the only competitor from the UK to star in the grand final and is calling for people to back him as the online voting phase is now open.
The 29-year-old, of Bloxwich, said: "This is my ultimate finale of Nathan Farrell and the singing postman – it all ends here.
"I've now come this far, and I'm now one step away from reaching a lifelong dream and achievement in becoming Open Mic International 2015 champion.
"Every vote counts and I've worked so hard all my life for this moment. I'm crying out loud for support and backing."
Nathan has made it through five stages of the contest, which has been dubbed the "biggest search for unsigned acts across the world."
He has now been pitted against eight different singers from across the world.
According to the competition website, the overall winner will receive a comprehensive winner's package, world wide media attention, and a main prize of £50,000. They will be crowned during an event at the O2 Arena in London.
Venuss Sharman, competition organiser, has praised Nathan's performance.
She said: "The judging panel found Nathan to display true professionalism and determination.
"Each performance was his own, backed by a winning personality that draws people to him.
"Nathan generates a magnetism rarely found with most singers and musicians.
"We believe Nathan to possess the quality's to take him onto the world stage, wherein he will no doubt become the greatest success as an internationally renowned singer/artist."
Speaking to the Advertiser last year, Nathan revealed that he had auditioned for Britain's Got Talent eight times, tried out for X Factor six times and has even tried to achieve stardom on BBC show The Voice, applying for each of the four series so far.
