A KINGSWINFORD woman is one of the latest winners of a national charity lottery game.

Joanne Williams, of Sycamore Road, scooped the People’s Postcode Lottery’s £1,000 prize on Tuesday when his postcode, DY6 8EQ was drawn.

The 39-year-old post woman said she was shocked but excited to hear of her win.

She said: “I’ll have to think about what to spend the money on, maybe a nice summer holiday.”

With five winning postcodes everyday throughout the week, Kingswinford is not the only lucky area today, as players in Wrexham, Spalding, Macclesfield and Pewsey also took home the £1,000 prize.

Since starting in 2005, the People’s Postcode Lottery has raised £58.6 million for charities including £9,124 for Home Start Dudley.

The charity received the money for its over 5’s project which provides a support service to vulnerable families with at least one child under the age of five-years-old.
