£28000 is basic then add on London weighting or other allowances plus shift allowances depends on where you work. Time patterns are picked on seniority in my voc but all voc's have different arrangements

If you start off driving 17t only then the basic is around £26000, you also have to take into account that the duties tend to have standard OT attached, so not many drivers earn just the basic salary.

Didn't think you had a choice of what you drove, the way I understand it is that everyone has to have Cat C and C+E and you just get roated in to do whatever I'm prob talking out my backside

My point is that there are two pay grades one for artics and one for 17t so if you are put into a 17t duty you would get 17t money £26000.
