Dear Colleague
Flexible Working Summary – Factsheet Update
The Equal Opportunities Department has recently updated the factsheet on Flexible Working and this is attached for the benefit of CWU Branches.
We would appreciate onward distribution to those reps who will benefit from this.
The factsheet does not refer to circumstances which involve issues linked to “association” as defined under the Equality Act 2010. Branches are reminded that, where any member is looking to amend their working patterns linked to the care of a disabled child or adult as long as the disability is likely to be covered under the Act, we would recommend that the Equality Act 2010 (reasonable adjustments) is used.
The factsheet can also be found on the CWU website under the Equal Opportunities Section.
Any enquiries regarding this LTB should be referred to the Equal Opportunities Department.
Yours sincerely
Linda Roy
National Equality Officer
