Postbox Strategy - CWU Area Safety Reps Involvement



Further to LTB 492/14 regarding the Postbox Strategy National Terms of Reference, a question was raised at the recent National Briefing in Nottingham regarding the involvement of Area Safety Representatives.



The words contained within the TOR state the following:



In terms of attendees we were always of the understanding that this would include ASRs and those CWU attendees for JWG meetings would be a matter for the CWU to decide in each area. It is important that Health & Safety Representatives are involved to ensure that concurrence to safety matters are being addressed and agreed.



However, despite the above and following the question raised, we have confirmed with Royal Mail that ASRs can by right be part of the JWGs and be fully involved in the deployment of Postbox Strategy.
