Waiting list

I was on the waiting list for royal mail casual christmas work and when they called me today I missed the call. They left a message to my relative on the landline and said they'd try my mobile again but I didn't get the missed call from a private number til a while later. They were offering me work and I was to phone them back before 5 to take them up on this offer. But there was no number to call and no message left on my answering phone.

After calling the royal mail christmas helpline, they put me on to the Glasgow office, who put me onto Angard who had no record of my application. When I phoned the christmas helpline back they told me there is no number to get in touch with anyone and that the person probably went on to the next person on the waiting list.

I'm now wondering what the status of my application is? Nothing had changed online, but I wonder if that is me scratched given that I wasn't able to answer the phone. I realise they have to fill positions quickly, but it's so frustrating if I've missed my chances based on missing two calls to my mobile 10 minutes apart, and no one being able to help me at the christmas helpline.

Anyone out there have any number to call?
