Very sad, shows how they stay 'competitive'.

I first left Royal Mail after two years when the walks were made bigger the sorting all changed after two weeks of delivering up to 5pm I found another job. This fell apart so I had to do agency for a bit.

I was with an agency who sent me to work a night shift for TNT when I got there everyone was asking me if I was Polish, because all they got there were polish people and other foreiners willing to work for the minimum wage. I was a the minority there.

They dumped a load of parcels in the centre of the warehouse and these were picked up read and carried to the lorries. I got smacked round the head with a long parcel by someone not taking any attention. It was a free for all without organisation or planning, very dangerous!

At break there was a smoking room and none smoking room, there was nothing in the vending machines and the rooms were rammed standing room only.

My agency asked to go back the next night, declined with force!

I went back to Royal Mail after 6 months, a word of warning, when you leave they send you a "confidential" leavers questionaire.

This is not confidential!

my then manager asked me why I wanted to return when I had spoken so unfavourable in this questionaire!

Everything I had wrote was true, I had been quite favourable actually!

I returned to Royal Mail as an inbetween job! Two years later Im still here, but seriously applying for other jobs!

ha and ha, had not intended for this to turn into an essay!

Just about sums up TNT. Eastiest job in britain today? TNT driver in Wallsall, Birmingham? All there parcels being sent to Warzaw Poland by the Poles.( Soccer AM sky tv.)
