Dear Billy and Dave,
I am writing this as an open letter and so will publish a reply. A lot of members and i include myself who have supported the union in its offical action are becoming concerned.
One of the main concerns is that the PEC first of all meet in the afternoon and after a few hours adjourn?
Some of the sessions you had with management lasted all night, why could not the pec meet overnight?
Second, why is the membership kept so much in the dark, as far as i know there is industrial action scheduled for Weds are we not leaving it late with regard to this action?
We spent four days trying to get RM into a position where they were in the last industrial action and through some legal error allows the high court to cancel Monday and Tuesdays action so that Rm can begin to clear the backlog.
Some are even suggesting that the CWU and RM got together and used the high court as a way of ensuring no strikes while the pec considered the agreement. These conspiracy theories are bound to start if you feed us so little information.
So could i ask that you keep us updated regulary and that you consider the wide range of the possible agreement.
This could impact on us for years if we need to struggle on then so be it, we don't want agreement for agreements sake.

Looks like you got an answer about Wednesday's action already, not a good answer, but one nonetheless. http://royalmailchat.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight=
