How delighted I was on Wednesday to see my postie again. With a big smile on his face and dressed in shorts, it was business as usual. Only now I appreciate him more than I did before the strike.
I also appreciate that Post Office boss Adam Crozier is trying to modernise the business - and when a business is in trouble the workforce has to take the brunt. I'm sure posties would have been more accepting of that if Mr Crozier had taken a dose of his own medicine.
While postal workers have been told they're "overpaid", their boss took a £300,000 bonus on top of his £700,000 salary.
He has an incentive for working hard. His workforce doesn't. That doesn't make sense, therefore strike action does.
