Ramsgate postal worker 'gutted' after bike theft

A POSTAL worker from Broadstairs was left devastated after callous thieves stole the bike he used for a charity cycle.

Kris Webb, 28, bought the £600 Carerra to complete a 250-mile cycle ride to Paris, raising £1,700 for the British Heart Foundation.

Mr Webb took part in the event on September 17 after a friend's mum spent eight weeks in hospital following a heart attack.

He said: "I'm absolutely gutted and just hope it turns up. I bought it to take part in the charity bike ride. The thieves cut a fence to the rear of the yard and took it."

The bike was stolen on Thursday, June 19 between 3.30pm and 6pm from the postal depot in Wilfred Road, Ramsgate.
