Talks to avert a possible Easter strike are ongoing between Burnley postal workers and Royal Mail.
The Burnley Express understands that workers at the Burnley sorting office in Bank Parade are threatening to withdraw their labour this Thursday, Saturday and the following Tuesday.
It is believed that workers are angry over the dismissal of two long-serving colleagues, one of whom is former Burnley Borough Council leader Stuart Caddy.
The Express revealed on March 28th that around 100 Burnley members of the Communication Workers Union held a one day strike held a one day strike at the end of the month.
Then, a former worker complained that a “culture of bullying” was prevalent at the sorting office.
A spokesman for Royal Mail would only confirm at this stage that talks are ongoing to avoid a possible strike.

royal mail has become a demonic employer to work for now, employees' bullied , forced and harassed to do chaotic lapsing.. even when there is enough work to work to your time...
FORCED TO LAPSE REGARDLESS, of working to your time....
i've never ever seen such an EMPLOYER, ROYAL MAIL,,,, BEAT IT'S WORK FORCE TO A PULP...
this is suppose to be the 21 st century,, but by CHRIST this company is way, way back in the 17 th CENTURY...
absolutely appalling treatment of it's employees....

Totally agree we've threatened going on strike before but in my mind the bullying ,harrasment is the worst it's been. Morales at its worst and talking to other people the sick absence in other offices regards to stress is through the roof. Is there not a dignity and respect campaign goin on?

The message sort of got lost on its way down from HQ, bit like the message from the trenches "get tickets we're going to a dance"
