Flexibility?

I see part of the new agreement is flexibility what does this mean because i am floating and do 5 walks a week i also have to change when people work their day off and often have to do a driving duty i am more senior to lots of guys but they do not change we have had no repick since changes 2 years ago and guys who work days off refuse to change will they now have 2 change as i am fed up with constantly changing whilst others dont budge they are paid the same yet do same every day i have asked for repick but dom says we are short staffed so can not do even rep agrees! can i insist that everyone should now be flexible?

As a floater covering 5 walks on each individual day that is your duty, you are the regular on that day. If the other blokes want O/T they should be doing the available work. It's possible they won't work O/T then but that is the managers problem. He is making life easier for him at your expense. Get you rep involved, if he does nothing go over his head all the way to HQ if you have. I consider it discrimination as you are not being treated equally.

i did think this as well and have spoken to rep who says it is business needs according to dom he did tell dom it is wrong but he seems unwilling to change regulars as they then will not work day off! i have now asked for resign as it was part of the agreement dom is now a bit concerned about this and told me that it will happen some time when we have enough staff(he has been saying this for 2 years) meanwhile i am still changing and getting fed up i agree that it is discrimination especially as i am more senior to many guys who stay on same walk i think i will have to try to take this further as i believe i am in the right thanks for advice
