Vehicle Telemetry

Post by Rizla »

All our vehicles have now been fitted. The guy that was fitting them said that they would go "online" in November. As I said in the other thread, I was told that the cost would be £500 per vehicle AND £28 per MONTH, per vehicle to run. That adds up to around £26.6 MILLION for the first year on a fleet of 30 000.

If you think that's a hell of a lot of money to be spending on vehicles, remember that £40 Million was recently spent on bonuses.

If these trackers are anything like the Paragon system used in HGVs then management will know where vehicles are at any time and will be able to divert traffic whenever they want. So if anyone is running a little ahead of schedule - it will mean - just divert into this office and pick up whatever!

Bradford MC has them and they've just been installed at Huddersfield, though they not on line yet. Just another way to check on us and cut more hours. My boss told me that was the aim, save money.

work to your time and don't deviate from your 318, they won't be able to screw a few extra quid out of you.

f**k them, they got enough freebies from Postmen not doing the job properly, job and finish just made a rod for your own back, time to do the job properly and no more no less, there is NO incentive anymore.
