Re: Hull MC closure starts today
Everyone got what they expected........................ crapped on from every angle.
Some people did not know what is happening to them today, I only found out myself last night that I had got EVR and will leave sometime early next year. The whole thing was handled badly and rushed towards the end this has been no way to treat loyal comrades of many years and I truly fear for the future of those left. Anyone thinking the closure process is fair, easy and compassionate is living in cloud cuckooland, ok many got there first choices because that was the only choice they had.
I wish my friends in Donny all the luck in there impending closure, they are going to need it as they will not have the EVR that Hull has had as they can travel to Sheffield a lot easier.

I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.

Re: Hull MC closure starts today
The Closure team have learnt alot from their previous mistakes. Don't know what Hull or any future closers expect.
Nothing regarding the closure in their local evening paper that I could find + poor response on forum = Union Reps probably done okay.
We're fairly safe, but anyone with doubt start asking questions NOW.

Re: Hull MC closure starts today
Just to update the Hull position
EVR notices have been issued to 71 brothers and sisters for a leaving date of 21 st February 2014 and they are still sorting out those going to delivery. The delivery people have been taken off the floor and handed there offers so that processing wishing to stay with the business can move over as there are not enough vacancies.
Many others have bought down hours into collections which now has 20 full time and 35 AG duties, so much for the 80/20 split
