Registration Event for Mail Sorter (Xmas)

Post by Wells »

Hi, I have been invited to a registration event with Royal Mail for an xmas job and was just wondering if anyone's been to one lately and what it includes. The job is a mail sorting job.

They called it an interview in the invitation I had but on their website they call it a registration event. Is it like an interview or is it more of the case of checking I.D, documents ect.? I've heard it is quite casual but I'm not sure.

Sorry if this question has been asked, but I'm asking just in case they have changed the process for this year.

Thanks for any help.

Ahh great thanks. It's on Thursday and I'm applying to the Birmingham mail centre, got my interview (although it's not really an interview, is it?) at Aston Villa FC.

What did you wear for your interview last year? I've heard that you can dress casually but I'm not sure. All i'm doing is showing them my documents after all.

Were there many people dressed casual (jeans, shirt etc.) because I've heard people have got there to find that everyone else is dressed casually.
