Former Bradford City player Lewis Emanuel has admitted his involvement in an armed robbery at a post office.

Emanuel, 29, pleaded guilty, at Hull Crown Court yesterday, to robbery and possessing an imitation firearm.

Bradford-born Emanuel, of Lowfield Close, Low Moor, Bradford, will be sentenced at a later date with a co-defendant, Craig Ward, 25, of Lindale Road, Woodside, Bradford, who admitted the same charges.

The pleas were in connection with an armed robbery at Skelmanthorpe Post Office, Huddersfield, on May 24 this year.

Emanuel, a defender, made 153 appearances for Bradford City, scoring four goals, between 2001 and 2006.
