Two postmen are getting on their bikes to tackle the London to Brighton cycle ride and raise money for charity.
Martin Brennan, 49, and Kieron Burden, 54, who both live and work in Luton, will take on the 100km bike ride on September 8 this year.
They are hoping to raise £250 for the National Brain Appeal because Martin’s son Sean was recently a patient at the National Hospital, which the appeal is associated with.
Martin said: “Sean had a small tumour successfully removed from his spine. This was most likely related to a brain tumour he had 10 years ago which was removed at Great Ormond Street Hospital. A group of us raised money for the National Hospital and one of their appeals back then as well.”
The National Brain Appeal (formerly the National Hospital Development Foundation) is the charity dedicated to raising funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, one of the world’s leading neurological centres
