Cyclist Steals £100 from pensioner outside Post Office

A 75-year-old man was left shaken after £100 was stolen from him as he used a cash machine in Dundee's Hilltown area.

The pensioner was using the automated teller machine outside the post office in the city's Strathmartine Road on Saturday at 10am when he was robbed.

The thief was "in possession of a pedal cycle, either blue or red in colour" at the time of the robbery.

A spokesman for Police Scotland's Tayside Division said: "We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident who may have seen a man aged in his 20s, slim build, 5' 10" tall, short, brown hair and wearing dark clothing — possibly a hooded top."

Anyone with any information regarding the theft is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
