Post Optimisation Review

The main reason that the revisions fail is because they don't complete task 78 which is to review the new walks with the staff and list all the issues raised and investigate. This would take them onto what is called the Post optimisation Review and have attached this document to this post.

The great myth is that the tools do all the planning and therefore all the outputs are end state when they are in fact the starting point. It is a shame that the union hasn't pushed this message to the membership or reps and so the constant messages from management is that the tools have been agreed,etc... tends to wear down most people over time.

I would suggest that you download this document and give it to your local rep to use it if there is a revision issues within your office.

"The maximum time allowed for per replenishment stop should be no more than 1.5 minutes"

So I have 3-6 replenishment bags at a stop (because each one holds <11Kg); I have to carry no more than one in each hand from the official drop point (often inside a building) and out to my HCT; empty each bag (containing mail bundles and typically 5-10 parcels) and put it in logical order inside the HCT...

Inside 90 seconds?

No wonder these delivery methods revisions fail, I would use pretty much all those 90 seconds just getting the bags safely outside and then another few minutes putting the bundles and parcels in some sort of meaningful order!

There is a Post Optimisation Review Newsheet - known as PORN for short - yes I know - but it certainly grabs everyones attention
