angard and 12 weeks rule

is it true to get paid 11 pound that i need 2 work 12 weeks in a row and if i miss a week it starts over again

I can't say for sure, but in SWDC if you don't work one day in any given week, that week is not counted as worked. They don't count successive weeks on the books, they count a week as worked if the employee worked at least one day during it.

it doesn't start over unless you have 6 weeks off...but once you reach the 12 week mark expect to be turned down for shifts! I reached the AWR last week now all of a sudden they're rationing shifts...

Not sure they're organised enough to do this with regard to AWR/non-AWR !!

I was in the other evening and it was the quietest Monday so far this year.

When Angard need someone at fairly short notice (which is often) they seem to phone the old "reliable" ones, who are usually on AWR. It's possibly different when they are booking shifts well in advance.

It could very well be the case that it is quiet this week or more duty staff are in but last night was ridiculously busy...

when they type your name in it shows if you're AWR qualified so if they want the lower rate workers in they could just put you off...having said that though I can't see how this would make sense for them as a business though as surely they want to maximise profit as well which means getting the higher paid workers (And shirkers as 90% are)

Hopefully it is just quiet atm and this is all in my head because apart from a slight hiccup in the beginning with names not being put down Angard have been brilliant.

yeah thats right, enjoy it while it lasts...i'm guessing the privatisation is not going to bode well for us! lol
