Awaiting further information

Post by edwards87 »

I had an interview last November and didn't get it, but got put on the waiting list. A few weeks later another job came up nearby so I sent my details to the waiting list email address and was told that subject to checks I'd be made an offer, and should hear back within 10 days. Over 4 weeks later I still haven't heard back, and my references still haven't been contacted either. I did email them after 2 weeks, all they said was it was busy over Christmas and I'd hear back soon. Is it normal to take this long? I'm starting to think I got my hopes up over nothing when the email made it sound like I had the job.

I applied through the RM site and then the waiting list email, so I don't know if Angard were involved at all but this looked like the best place to post.

Regardless of whether it was RM or Angard, they are pants and do take their time.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
