A POSTWOMAN has quit her job following an investigation into the disappearance of hundreds of letters and parcels from a north-east mail depot.

Royal Mail confirmed that a member of staff from Inverurie had left her job following a probe into missing items dating back to 2010.

The Press and Journal understands the member of staff who has resigned is local postal worker Moira Duguid.
