Refused Holiday??...

Post by BingBong »

I aplogise in advance. Ive also posted this in the various rooms as was unsure of the correct place and am looking for as much feedback as possible.

Hi all. I have a quick question. I'm on a 3 month fixed term contract. Have been for almost a year now. It just gets renewed each time. I want to book some holiday that falls out of my contract period. If I request this holiday does Royal Mail have to honour it as it actually outside my contract dates? Its almost impossible to get any holiday during my contract periods so I'm thinking book in advance now. By refusing holiday outside my contract they are basically telling me my contract will be renewed arent they? Any advice. Seriously considering taking it sick if need be.

I've been refused already my a manager. They said there is no spaces free. Yet the dates I want off don't even run in my contract dates. Debating whether or not to take it sick.

If you haven't had holidays at all your due regardless, whether they keep you or not. I'm sure it's part of a law. Someone more clued up with be able to give you a more definitive answer.
