I WOULD like to write to a huge thank you to Trevor, the friendly postman who stopped to help me when my car broke down on the Torrington road on Thursday lunchtime.

The engine mount had broken and he pushed my car, while I steered it to the layby on the opposite side of the road. He also lent me his mobile phone to ring for further help.

I am truly grateful for his sensible advice and kind assistance when I could not think straight.
