A POSTMAN from Otley will leave his postbag behind at Easter to travel to Ireland for a 52-mile run.
Liam Dunne will take part in the Slieve Bloom Way Challenge on Good Friday, which will see him running across this hills above his home town of Clonaslee in County Laois in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Liam will run the equivalent of two marathons and climb around 4,000ft in 10 hours and is a member of Otley Athletic Club.
He said: “The Slieve Blooms Mountains are, for me, a runner’s paradise and probably one of my favourite places to run.
“As well as some challenging terrain they also offer tranquil and charming scenery with extensive views, and when I went seeking a greater challenge than the usual marathon, I couldn’t think beyond the challenge of the Slieve Bloom Way. “
