I am curretly on sick - still in self cert period and I do not wish to give atos verbal consent to ATOS. My shift manager rang and said that I was breaking my contract by doing so. I explained that I shall be back to work soon and that I have personal ethical issues with ATOS and do not wish to give them consent to talk to me or my doctor - basically because they are not doctors.
I thought the 'Verbal Consent' thing was voluntary.
Can anybody explain?

Re: ATOS VERBAL CONSENT
It is voluntary but it doesn't look good if you refuse, they wont talk to your doctor just yet if at all, that takes a long time.
It is also only initially a phone conversation 1st.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
