You really need to speak with your rep or area rep. Depresion is a serious illness, which is covered under the DDA, but of course you would have to have your unfortunate illness with Atos. Depresion should not be treated like someone on the sick with a soar throat so ensure you get the proper support, there are many threads on here with regards to treatment of depresion under the absentee procedure so do the search. I cannot reiterate how important it is to get this condition registered and the support and guidance of the union to help you as like I say it does get special consideration under the absentee procedure....
