Not sure which question you want me to answer here?

1) Yes, I “still take pride in delivering the nation’s mail”.
2) Yes, I still enjoy the job (though “love” is a bit over the top for me).
3) Yes, I do get on with my job and try to ignore, or work through, the changes.
4) Yes, RM’s attempts at modernisation have taken some of the enjoyment out of the job, worsened our terms & conditions and have damaged our standing in the eyes of the public.

Slightly confused in the poll as you an still take pride in a job that you now hate because of changes made by idiots.

got a job interview lined up for elsewhere on Wednesday.

been a postie for 4 years, after year one I was put down from FT to 25 hours a week.

can't afford now to live on £200 a week take home so I am off as soon as I get a new job.

its a crying shame though because I do enjoy the job, and my collegues but the money, management and the way us normal posties are now treated by Dim's really pisses me off.

You can take pride in a job but still hate what it's become. What do I select?

How does a postie without pride behave anyway? Door step items, not get signatures on recorded deliveries? Wear their uniform back to front? Apparently nearly the majority at the moment unless they were equally confused.

BTW) I was not dissin' the answers. Maybe a plain 'Do you like working for RML' would have been more apt. :wave

I used to love this job, now its like working for some cowboy firm. They don't give a s**t about service anymore. Getting sick of the 'mail dropping off' bullshit when I'm getting more bags and they are getting heavier. Its all about cutting costs, they cut anymore and they'll go through an artery. The firm is skint(apparently), yet buy new uniforms, vans and shite machines that are meant to make our job easier. The indoor workload was meant to be less when infact it is now more due to the wonderful WSM's that spit out more than the old mech machines so everything ends up on IPS. Most of us took this job for the early start (5am) because we did'nt want a 9-5 job. I'm embarrassed doing this job now <rant over>
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

I appologise for confusing you,Pat ...
Nobody else seems to have been confused, but hey ... it takes all sorts .....

Just for you,let ammend the question ....

Do you still take pride,in delivering the nations mail?

OPTION 1 ... Yes - I love it.
OPTION 2 ... No - The job is now a pile of s**t.
OPTION 3 ... I think,i'll sit on the fence ... I love the way that Royal Mail are modernising ..... P,but hate the way that it has effected our working day ... ( later starts/finishes ... child care issues etc )
