Can angard take money from our bank accounts? Not happy with them having my bank details that's for sure!

They have no legal right to take money from your bank account unless you give your express consent to the bank for them to do so.

I owe Angard/Royal Mail money as well, but I would wait until you get the holiday pay before you even begin to think about the repayment structure. They should send you a payslip whenever the time is right and net deduct you on whatever pay you're owed. I got a £50.00 bonus. I originally owed £201 on the statement yet on Friday I received another it now says I owe £161 instead of £201 because they have deducted the bonus from my pay and the other £10 somehow went to the tax office. So if I was you I would wait until them final slips turn up (Holiday pay) and then check again and see how much you owe. If you phone them up now to try and reason with them about the payments you owe to Angard/Mail you could end up receiving the holiday pay the following week and still be net deducted which would mean even more hassle on the phone to sort out the pay you're actually owed, so yeah I would wait it out for a little while, and while you're at it try and save that little bit extra cash a week and then see what happens from there.
