This is my first time working for Angard and have received my first pay. I am currently working nights 2200 to 0600 and have worked a full 40 hr week with only 20mins break each night and have shockingly only been paid 115 !!!!
I will no longer go work for this company I had a terrible feeling from the start that I wasnt going to get paid properly
I am 31 yrs of age and have never worked for an insulting amount of pay in my life. I work from home repairing mobile phones and buying and selling various different electrical items on ebay but the wages I have just received in my bank tbrough Angard has really angered me.
I will be taking this up with Citizens Advice Bureau if it is not sorted out! But one thing is for sure I am not going to work for them again and will not recommend.

One thing to think about is their pay week is friday to thursday(no body understands this) so that may affect the hours in the pay week...also it seems some people are being put on to emergency tax so all the wages are being taxed at 20%
Maybe that might help understand why its so low? i'm still waiting to be paid so cant say what i think happened to my pay

Re: 115 for a 40 hr week! I can beat that!
So far, I've received 2 payments from Angard - total £136 for 48 hours worked upto Friday 09/12/11. That is a net of £2.83 per hour - what sort of deductions take £6.40 down to £2.83?
This is a complete shambles - I've been phoned up to get my bank details when these were provided at the interview, Angard's phone just rings out, emails get bounced back and I've had no payslip yet.
We don't get paid for breaks and they even offered me Sunday overtime at an "enhanced" rate of £6.58 - 18p extra for working on Sunday, what an insult!
I've worked 7 years at Christmas for RM direct with no problems - I won't be doing it again if Angard are still involved

The Angard pay week is Saturday to Friday - it says so in your contract and that is how I am being paid.smashly wrote:One thing to think about is their pay week is friday to thursday(no body understands this) so that may affect the hours in the pay week...also it seems some people are being put on to emergency tax so all the wages are being taxed at 20%

You only get paid for time worked you need to subtract your breaks for:
less than 5 hours you get no break
for 5 hours to 6 hours 59 you get 15 mins
for 7 hours to 11 hours 59 you get 30 mins
for 12+ jrs your get 60 mins.
If you dont take your breaks you lose the money for them,
Also, different pay rates are being paid - possibly devised by a random number generator. Some are getting 6.35 some 6.08 for days. For nights you could be getting 6.08 (some reports that the 50p on top is being called a bonus at the end
Some people are also only being paid only 60% of what they should be until they actually work out what you should get.
Hope this helps and clears everthing up

Re: 115 for a 40 hr week! WTF!!!!!!!
Just been told by Angard, by the first person I've come across who sounds businesslike, a real full time worker from Reed I'd guess (and without that phoney telephone voice), that our local rate SHOULD be £6.35 before 2200 hrs and £8.11 (£1.76 night allowance) after that, and that the night shift allowance varies greatly from distrbution region to distribution region. Some areas are getting £6.58 for night shift which in Minimum wage plus 50 pence ph.
All very well being in the rich area but I havent got a bean yet ( no voucher) and just starting my third week. At least the lady confirmed I did exist and confirmed my Bank details.
I didn't know there was regional pay and this may explain why I'd been quoted two different figures before now ie. nights at £6.58 and £7.84

Phone 0845-4607487. Just spoken to a lovely lady Hannah (who is incidentally also a temp employed by reed on behalf of Angard!) She will check your account as it would appear Angard are only paying a percentage of your pay for some reason which she couldnt explain! Worth a try just for peace of mind!

Re: 115 for a 40 hr week! WTF!!!!!!!
Did somebody move Canterbury overnight? Whats this bulls**t now about "regional pay". Does the Glasgow small package suddenly turn into an elephant in a box on route?
I asked about the move as my rate of pay as a RM casual went DOWN from £7.76 to £6.58 with Angard. Is this higher rate still being paid elsewhere? Shambles
Pay update still trying to check how my £93 quid for a 33 hour week has been arrived at as I have not seen a payslip this week (RM must be busy) by my calculations (fag packet, crayon) I'm about £70 short. Oh what fun it was to see everyone out Christmas shopping today I have had to watch every penny until I get paid again (IF!)
