Food for thought

Post by camerox »

Right, just worked out a little food for thought.

I'll list the days I've worked, my pay rate, how much I should've been paid before tax, and how much angard have ACTUALLY paid me.
Firstly, I got my first payment on Tuesday the 13th of December, some sort of "emergancy" payment in which they paid me 60% of my first week.

Tuesdays Payment: £88.00
Todays Payment (Friday) £95.70 Just so you know, I was today promised NORMAL wages TODAY.

So let's work this out, I've worked full 8 hour night work on the following dates:
29th, 30th, 01st, 02nd, 05th, 06th, 07th, 08th, 09th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th

Obviously the last 4 dates don't really come into it since I should be paid that the following week, or however the stupid pay week works with Angard.
Anyway, I'm going to work it out with all those dates anyway so I know what I'm owed.
£6.58 x 7.5 (the 7.5 since they dock us for our 30 minute break) = £49.35 BEFORE tax, a day... £49.35 x 13 days = £641.55 BEFORE tax Angard owe me...

I've been paid UNDER £185!!! FOR TWO WEEKS WAGES?! I did 9 working nights from the 29th of November to the 9th of December. That's over £444!!!
I know that's before tax and w/e but tax is NOT friggin' over £256... GOD DAMN!

I feel sorry for every single one of you. This is horseshit. GIVE ME A GOOD DAMN PAYSLIP AND AN EXPLANATION. Stupid Angard :(

Unfortunately I suspect it is even worse than you think but you will need to check.

On the Royal Mail website it clearly states nights for Christmas Casuals at my mail centre is £8.11. The £6.58 is the rate excluding Christmas - i.e. the rest of the year. If you go to the website and log in and look at your application you should get to the pay rates you should be getting for you mail centre at Christmas.
