Angard Christmas Working

Post by Smac02 »

I have read all the threads relating to Angard and their recruitment of Christmas workers. I am among the many who were given a start time and date only to be turned away and am now still waiting for a new start date. This is clearly not going to happen. I'd guess that I am among many others who instead of waiting could have been doing other casual work. I am amazed at the behaviour of Angard and more so Royal mail for usining this company for their recruitment.

Royal Mail still has a brand name but Angard seem to be making sure that the brand name is tarnished. Do Royal Mail not realise that we as prospective workers are also part of Joe public who use their services? I regularly dispatch mail and parcels using RM. But, after my experiences this year with Angard I have lost confidence with RM. I shall in future be using other carriers for my post wherever possible.

Royal Mail, I fear if you carry on using sub-contractors like Angard your days are numbered and you will become an even smaller player in the mail and parcel business.

I would hope that the RM Unions take RM and Angard to task for their behaviuor this year and ideally get the newspapers involved. It was only recently that RM were boasting about the number of recruits they were looking for this year.

The truth is out there.

I dont know if you are aware that Angard is part of royal mail. They were formed earlier on this year as a tax dodge. Angard is run by Royal Mails Human Resources. I am currently trying to gather together as many people as possible to tell me about their angard experience in order for me to go to the media. Would you like to be included?

Didn't realise that they were a direct link to Royal mail. I thought they were a part of a recruitment company. In my view this makes it even worse that Royal Mail have no idea what the hell they are doing, or do they? Have they simply over-recruited and are now just ignoring the people like myself who were promised work? Hmm

And, yes please include me.

BBC Radio Kent this morning (6th) Royal Mail spokesman was asking for people to still apply for jobs on RM website (i.e Angard) apparently there is a shortage of casuals in TN ME and CT districts. I nearly spat coffee all over the cat. :cuppa

Something VERY fishy about all this.
