Inadequate administration messing peoples lives

Post by Patsy LLiversage »

I have been dealing with Angard since the end of September/early October, I did everything they asked, filled my application on line, printed it out, took my 2 x photographs, booked my interview, attended, selected my shifts and waited. Security clearances passed awaiting date to start. I had several e-mails on the Royal Mail site, one from the chairman welcoming me to Royal Mail, my getting started booklet, and all the other bumph that you need to print off. I am amazed that Thursday the 1st December was the last start date for people doing the Christmas Casual employment. After 10 hours in total on the phone to every conceivable department within the company and numerous e-mails to Angard, (who do not reply to them) I have eventually yesterday (Monday) been told that I should have started work on Thursday 1st December. So I have lost 4 days work because Angard could not get round to sending me an e-mail or a text to confirm it or advise me. The arrangements with Royal Mail are such that all communications are via e-mail or text messages. No phone calls, too busy to answer them, just e-mails....It is a complete joke. I read earlier that some people had missed there start dates but never thought that it would happen to me. Royal Mail take your name off the list if you do not turn up because they think you no longer are interested in working for them. Angard needs to be investigated they are making Royal Mail look like complete Baffoons. They say they are a different company responsible for the employment of staff but if you look at the small print, they are the same company. Taking on staff at below the minimum wage on minimal contracts............What a joke. Thankfully, I worked yesterday and will continue to do so until I am no longer required, I would advise anyone to make a lot of noise, phone every number you can get hold of and rattle the cage, Customer services even gave me a separate e-mail address for Angard, so if we cannot get through to Angard to confirm start dates, how on earth do Royal Mail contact them to ask for additional work force. Good question......Hmmmm!.

Well written Patsy.

I went for my induction today to find out I wasnt on the list as well as another 20 people .
Royal mail told us they would get in touch with Angard to see why they haven't sent our secruity checks over to them.
Just received a phone call from Angard confirming my details , complete joke they have me down as someone completely different eg different name . Hmmmmm questioning this as Im sure I gave them enough confindentional information about myself.

Complete joke !!!!!!!
